FAQ
Answers for hotels, restaurants and companies about honeycomb, honey, rooftop beekeeping and ordering.
How should honeycomb be stored on a hotel buffet?
Keep it at room temperature; it does not need refrigeration. Use a lidded stand to protect it from dust and insects. Our team advises on set-up and how often to rotate frames for your guest numbers.
How heavy is a whole honeycomb frame and how is it delivered?
Each whole frame weighs about 1.5–1.7 kg, packed 10 frames per case. We deliver on a schedule agreed with your hotel, with lidded or open display stands.
Can a hotel keep bees on its rooftop?
Yes. We first survey the site for sun, wind, access and guest safety, then install the hives and visit twice a month, sending hive-health reports in English that can support your sustainability (ESG) reporting.
What is the difference between raw honey and regular honey?
Raw honey is minimally processed, so it keeps more of its natural floral aroma, flavour and character. Colour and taste vary with the season and flowers, which is normal for a natural product.
Does crystallised honey mean it is fake?
No. Crystallisation is natural in real honey and often happens in cool weather. Warm it gently in a water bath to make it liquid again.
Can we order in volume or under our hotel’s own brand?
Yes. Black Queen supplies hotels, restaurants and premium businesses wholesale, and can design packaging, flavours or gift sets in your hotel’s branding. Contact our sales team for a tailored proposal.
Can we get samples before ordering?
Yes. Contact our sales team by phone, email or LINE @blackqueenhoney to arrange samples.
What is The Queen’s Hive gift set? Can it carry our logo?
The Queen’s Hive is a New Year gift set of seven honey cups in a honeycomb tray, with a seven-day idea card. Your logo and thank-you message can go on the sleeve or card. Production is limited, so reserve early.
How do I order honey kombucha?
Honey kombucha is made to order: pre-order with a minimum of 20 litres, in any volume you need. It is not bottled.
Which company is behind Black Queen?
Black Queen is a brand of Janaroon Co., Ltd., working with the Huai Rang Pho beekeeping community in Phetchaburi and beekeepers across southern Thailand.
